Ken Outch
CEO destra Music
Ken Outch has worked in the Australian music industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining destra, Ken held senior executive positions within the entertainment sector, including General Manager for BMG, Director of Marketing Sony - Columbia and General Manager of Sanity. Whilst working at Sanity, Ken was involved in launching Australia’s first legal music download site, implementing P.O.S across 300 stores and establishing Music Point.

Ken has overseen the acquisition of five new companies under the destra Entertainment business. Ken is a current board member of the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) and holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.

Phil Maddison
CEO destra Vision

Phil commenced his career in retailing, as a buyer for David Jones in South Australia. With his understanding of consumer trends and demand he moved into entertainment content distribution, at Electronic Arts, where he progressed from senior sales and marketing roles to the position of General Manager and Director.

Phil’s depth of experience and understanding in content sales and distribution took him to Magna Pacific in 2001. Phil has held the position of CEO since 2004. Phil holds a Masters of Business Administration and brings to destra over two decades of sales and marketing experience.

Michael Golden
CFO destra Music

Michael has a Bachelor Of Business and is a member of The National Institute Of Accountants and a Fellow Of The Taxation Institute Of Australia. Michael has twenty years' experience in the record and entertainment industries. He spent thirteen years at BMG Australia, holding several senior positions which included Business Affairs Manager and Group Financial Controller. He was the Chief Financial and Operating Officer for Festival Mushroom Records for seven years until he successfully assisted News Limited to sell FMR to Warner Music. He has extensive experience in change and strategic management. Michael has been in his current role since May 2006.

Michael Brand
CFO destra Vision

Having commenced his career in audit and systems at KPMG, Michael has 20 years senior finance experience in fast growing private and public companies.  This experience has ranged from being Finance Director for The Wesley Hospital (Queensland’s largest private hospital network) to most recently being head of Global Financial Reporting for Flight Centre Ltd. 

 

He holds a Bachelor of Finance and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.  In addition he has completed two graduate diplomas – Securities & Investment and Applied Corporate Governance.  Michael commenced his career as CFO of Magna Pacific in 2003.

Anne Willey
General Manager - Visual Entertainment

Anne is well known in the media, advertising and entertainment industries in Australia and has over 30 years' experience at all levels. Energetic, flexible and forthright, she enjoys the confidence of many senior business leaders and a wide network of loyal clients and suppliers.

 

Anne spent several years working for the Ten Network in sales and then started her own company, Post Analysis Pty Ltd. After 10 years, she became a director and shareholder of the Media Sales Network for 12 years, then left to found her own magazine, Victorian Lifestyle, sold and now a part of the Fairfax folio. Anne joined Visual Entertainment Group where she has remained for the past three years as General Manager, while also in charge of sales and marketing.

Jamie Raeburn
General Manager - Central Station Records
Jamie has been with Central Station since 1998 after emigrating from the UK. Educated at Edinburgh University, Jamie started work in a popular live venue in 1991 with various diverse music genres - Punk to Soul and Ska to Metal. After a stint in London working at Virgin Records, Jamie joined Clubscene Distribution as Marketing & Sales Manager. In addition to his role, Jamie worked in both management and touring while also helping to establish Clubscene Publishing.  Passionate about the industry, Jamie became regional correspondent for Generator and DJ magazine, as well as editor of Clubscene magazine. After launching a second label and club night - Fire Island in 1997 - Jamie sought opportunities at a new label and country.

Mark Hurdis
CEO - Payless

Mark has been involved in the entertainment industry for over 17 years. Initially employed at Payless Entertainment as National Sales Manager nine years ago, Mark was elevated to the position of CEO in 2004. The past nine years have seen Payless grow from an annual turnover of $7m per year to approximately $17m per year.

With over 15 years in the industry, Josh Houbert has been instrumental in the growth of Rajon and, recently, MRA Audio. He previously held the position of Strategic Director at EMI Music, while also working in Strategic Marketing and Sales for SonyBMG.

Sharon Ashworth
General Manager Digital
Sharon has over 19 years' experience in marketing within the music industry, having worked with brands including Shock Records, EMI Music Australia and, most recently, Festival Mushroom Records. Sharon brings to destra a deep understanding of digital music services, having recently spent time at premium mobile content company, Glovebox. Prior to destra, Sharon held the position of General Manager of Digital Services for Festival Mushroom Records.
