Perry Smith
CEO

Chief Executive Officer, Perry has 20 years experience in the industry, and has developed a reputation for creating innovative and profitable media companies. Perry founded Brand New Media, now Australia’s leading integrated media and communications company with interests in media representation, production and branded content development, publishing, event management and marketing. 

 

Prior to Brand New Media, Perry held prominent positions in the media industry, commencing his career with Capital Television in Canberra, whilst playing professional Rugby League for the Canberra Raiders. He then moved to Network Ten in Sydney, followed by MSN (at that time the largest media representation business).  Perry also founded Australian Media & Sport (AM&S) a diversified media sales and sports marketing company.  He was made Director of Australian Media Holdings, then Managing Director of Sportsworld Media Group Asia Pacific.

Ian Murray
COO

As COO, Ian is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the destra Media Group. His focus is on strategic and tactical operations management, and he is responsible for the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver the group's services.

 

Ian has spent his career in advertising and media, holding roles including Financial Controller of the Colours group of companies, CFO of ad agency Bailey Daddo Douglas Lees, and director of his own consulting business, Essentially Invisible Pty Ltd. In 2003, Ian joined Brand New Media as General Manager to provide management support and strategic systems development.

Phillip Hepburn
Financial Controller

Phillip has more than 13 years experience in the media industry, most recently accepting the role of Chief Financial Officer with Brand New Media.  Prior to this Phillip operated his own Company, Accounts In Control (AIC), which assisted small businesses in the processing, collating and reporting of businesses financial information.

 

Phillip held positions at Media Corporation Australia Limited (MCAL) as Financial Controller. He was influential in the merging of TNQ with Northern Rivers Television (NRTV), the Channel Ten affiliate in Northern NSW. He was then appointed Accountant for Telecasters Australia Limited (TAL). TAL was the listed Channel Ten affiliate now in Qld and Northern NSW. TAL also had the franchise for the Seven Network in Darwin and Central Australia.

Damien Bray
Director Entertainment

For almost 18 years Damien has been instrumental in delivering high end projects, focusing on Extreme Sports, Brand Funded Entertainment, Live Events, Television and Marketing. Damien has an exceptional record as a creative thinker and is a market leader in brand funded entertainment in Australia. He was responsible for launching the world’s first made for live television professional triathlon series – the St George Triathlon Grand Prix.

 

Other initiatives include the International Triathlon Grand Prix, Beach Volleyball and Uncle Toby’s Ironman; he created the Xtreme Games concept and the Planet X youth marketing platform, plus a host of other action sports events. Since joining forces with Brand New Media Damien has instigated several brand funded entertainment properties including Jack Of All Trades, Surfari and Australia’s Greatest Footy Fan.

Bob Delamont
Head of Production

Bob is Head of Television for Brand New Media and oversees the production of all of the company’s television content and the development of new projects. Bob’s career has spanned 30 years in the media industry. He has been instrumental in delivering and producing Television both in Broadcast Management and Production.

 

He started his career at Channel Nine as Financial Controller but shortly after joined a new management team to oversee the amalgamation of local stations into the Nine Network Group.  Bob was soon seconded to work overseas for the Nine Network where he developed a number of projects in the U.S.A. and Europe. He returned to Australia in late 1987 as Group General Manager of the Ten Network. Bob moved into independent television production and has produced around 1000 hours of television programming for the Ten, Seven Network and Nine Network.

Robert Barnes
Head of Products and Content

Robert has been working in digital music since 2000 when he joined Universal Music International. In his later years at Universal he managed a digital production system that is now used by over 30 Universal companies round the world. Since migrating to Australia he has moved to more consumer-facing products, firstly at Australia’s largest property site, realestate.com.au, where he was responsible for managing the user experience and ad products. Before Universal Music, Robert worked in research for Hill & Knowlton, and project management for Vox Pops International.

 

Robert started at destra in 2006 and now manages the digital Product and Content teams. His teams are responsible for the content and management of destra Media's sites - including MP3.com.au, TheScene.com.au, CentralStation.com.au and NiceShorts.com.au.  The teams are focused on providing the best possible user experience, and building loyal communities around unique and original content.

Peter Moore
General Manager - NSW

Peter specializes in Sales and commenced his career in media working at Val Morgan. He soon moved into TV media at Sky Channel and subsequently Network Ten in Brisbane and Sydney. He then held the role of Direct Sales Manager at Seven Affiliate Sales.

 

An opportunity to sell media for over 40 international airlines including Qantas, Singapore Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, and United Airlines saw Peter moving to Mass Media Publicitas. During that time, he was able to sell across a wide range of media including inflight, magazines, airport lounges and outdoor. Following that, Peter started his own media sales and marketing business, Moore Media Solutions representing ABC Asia Pacific. Peter then joined the Brand New Media team as NSW Sales Director, bringing with him over 20 years of media sales experience.

Andrew Guiver
General Manager - Queensland

Andrew has over 30 years experience in the Australian media industry, working in media sales, programme production, senior management and as a director of his own media representation company. Over this time Andrew has worked on a diverse range of media properties that have included: Metropolitan, regional, free to air, Subscription and International television, Specialty out home broadcasting, Aviation in-flight entertainment, Metropolitan radio, Newspapers and Magazines (local and international) Internet sales and Television production.

 

Andrew has also held various senior management positions with a number of Australia’s most respected media companies including over ten years senior management service with Network Ten Australia.
