destra secures the Orchard music catalogue

160,000 Tracks; 2,500 Independent Record Labels From 48 Countries

MELBOURNE – June 16, 2004 -destra Corporation Limited (ASX:DES), Australia’s No. 1 Digital Rights Management (DRM) provider, have added the Orchard Catalogue, the World’s Largest Distributor of Independent Music from Australia’s AmpedMusic to sell through Destra’s retail partners.

Destra’s CEO, Mr. Domenic Carosa said, “With the addition of 160,000 tracks from 2,500 independent record labels from 48 countries, DestraMusic now has access to approximately 500,000 tracks for download.”

AmpedMusic, Managing Director, Mr. Gary Mackenzie said, “As the exclusive owners of the Orchard Catalogue in Australia, our relationship with DestraMusic will enable some of the most exciting music in the world to reach consumers easily via the Internet. This creates a great opportunity for the Orchard Catalogue and consumers.”

DestraMusic.com (100% owned by Destra) was the first company in Australia to launch a legal service in December 2003, offering digital music through its online retail partners - Sanity.com.au, ChaosMusic.com.au, HMV.com.au, JBHiFi.com.au and others.

The music is in the WMA Format and will have built in technology for customers to copy the songs onto a CD three times, as well as to a portable media player, but will not allow the tracks to be transferred to pirate websites.
