destra and partners’ aggressive market push looks to attract store shoppers to digital music benefits

destraMusic, (a fully owned subsidiary of listed company destra Corporation ASX:DES) has launched a number of marketing campaigns with its retail partners to expose store shoppers to the availability of the digital music download technology and its ease of use.

Seven months ago, destra signed an agreement with Harvey Norman to provide online music through its specialised download website store - www.musicandgames.com.au.

Harvey Norman and destra have launched a marketing campaign promoting prepaid vouchers which can be purchased at Harvey Norman stores to be used to download music from www.musicandgames.com.au. The offer is being promoted across Harvey Norman’s 157 retail stores throughout Australia.

Bill Express Limited (ASX: BXP), a leading payment solution provider, is providing the capability to distribute and authorise a prepaid micro payment transaction. Bill Express is believed to be the first company to provide this leading edge service to the Australian market. Its network will enable the purchase of music on the internet without the use of a credit card. The prepaid service allows consumers to purchase music safely, securely and conveniently without the need for a credit card.

“This micro-payments capability created by Bill Express opens up the world of Internet shopping to the people who don’t have credit cards and those people who do not shop on the internet due to security fears,” said Marc Lichtenstein, Bill Express Company Secretary.

“We have Bill Express terminals in the stores that distribute the vouchers allowing our consumers to purchase a prepaid voucher at any Harvey Norman store. They, then, redeem them on the www.musicandgames.com.au website to download their desired music. Sanity is also focusing on growing its online music sales and has worked with destra to launch its latest promotion – download music at a discounted 49 cents. Anyone who purchases a product from any Sanity retail store can enter in their receipt number during the checkout process to ensure they receive the discounted tracks - 49c per track instead of $1.89 – at sanity.com.au. The consumer goes online to sanity.com.au to redeem the discounted track value.
