destra Music - largest digital music provider in Australia

Melbourne, 11 January 2006 - destra Music, wholly owned by destra Corporation Limited (ASX: DES) has licensed CD Baby’s music catalogue to expand its own online music catalogue to over 1.3 million tracks – the largest in the country.

destra is also pushing strongly into online video and now has over 15,000 video clips from well known artists available for streaming via MP3.com.au/MP3TV. “We are committed to offering consumers the full music experience – music and video,” said Domenic Carosa, destra CEO.

destra Music blazed a trail as the first company in Australia to launch a legal digital music service in December 2003, offering music through its network of online retail partners. Today, with the addition of CD Baby’s licensed tracks, destra Music has access to over 1.3 million tracks from major record companies and individual artists offering digital music delivery through its retail partner sites - such as chaosmusic.com.au, harveynorman.com.au, jbhifi.com.au and a number of ABC sites.

In late 2005, the Company expanded its longstanding relationship with SonyBMG Australia (SonyBMG) to enable destra to sell SonyBMG’s music full track downloads to mobile phones as well as true tones, wall papers and movie video clips. destra also purchased The Rajon Music & Video Group (Rajon), one of the largest independent record labels in Australia.
