destra Signs Exclusive Distribution Deal with FremantleMedia

We have already had a successful past partnership with destra’s MRA Entertainment, providing the documentary series ‘Prehistoric Park', which has generated over $1.5 million in retail sales for destra’s MRA Entertainment ”.

Exclusive Distribution Deal Expands destra’s Entertainment Offering


Fremantle Mediadestra Vision today announced a multimillion dollar exclusive distribution relationship with one of the largest global entertainment producers, FremantleMedia across physical (DVD) and digital (Internet) distribution. This partnership supports destra’s ambition to be the leading independent media content provider in the Australian market.

The content will be delivered through destra Vision’s group of companies, which includes Magna Pacific, MRA Entertainment and Visual Entertainment Group.

Domenic Carosa, destra Corporation CEO, says, “This is a significant deal for destra Vision. It aligns us with one of the world’s leading content auxiliary providers, containing iconic content from the 1960’s through to today. This will increase the range and depth of content on offer for our audiences. FremantleMedia own many popular titles that we know our audience will enjoy, including the Jamie Oliver series, Benny Hill and Live from Abbey Road.”

destra sees this as an opportunity to expand its content offering in the Australian market, extending its capacity to deliver credible and compelling content across multiple platforms. The deal provides destra Vision with access to all FremantleMedia content in a variety of formats, including the DVD market , as well as High Definition and Digital formats.

FremantleMedia’s content aligns with destra’s existing content offerings provided by Magna Pacific, the leading independent film and DVD distributor in Australia, as well as other recent partnerships such as with US based VOD supplier CinemaNow and a 19.9 percent stake in online movie rental company Quickflix (ASX: QFX).

destra also has a 10% stake in production company Beyond International (ASX: BYI), destra continues to evaluate a potential merger with Beyond and is conducting due diligence inquiries. destra will keep the market fully informed of its intentions in this regard.
